Another fan art work.
As many of you know, Felix first appeared in 1919 in an animated film called Feline Follies (though he was called Master Tom then, and looked much different).
I tried to put all of my favorite characters from Felix in the illustration of my favorite cartoon cat of all times: there's Vavoom, Skiddoo, The Professor and some personal belongings of Poindexter :)

What I didn't know is the fact that electronic TV broadcasts
began with Felix!
Here is a link to a website which covers briefly that interesting part of media history, for those of you who are curious:

Wait, so it was really Felix who started all things animated?

Well he is the oldest mega-popular cartoon out there :)
Of course, a lot of animated films were made before him, but he is famous for standing out as a character and making a global star out of himself in the early days of commercial animation

Neat. Felix's one of the first cartoon characters ever made. He was around way before both Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

Yeah, I looove him and Mickey, and I love old cartoons in general. That's why I was so surprised when I discovered Oswald, in 2012 -- I'm ashamed of my ignorance now :(
I'll try to make up for it by making a good deviation :)

Cool. I like these old Golden Age cartoons myself.

they are sooo funny, and sassy :)
--and more 'lively' than nowadays cartoon characters, I think.

Yep. They're better than about some of the Modern Age cartoons today. They're a group at deviantART on Golden Age cartoons you might like and want to join. [link]

It's also have a Facebook page. [link]
